Privacy Policy

Bar Stocktake helps bar staff count stock by voice or touch, shelf by shelf, and share the result as a CSV.

Information we do not collect

Bar Stocktake does not require an account and does not send personal information to us. We do not collect:

• Name, email address or phone number
• Your bottle list, counts or stocktake history
• Bottle photos
• Voice recordings
• Location data
• Analytics or crash data
• Advertising identifiers

Bar Stocktake contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code.

Your bottle list and counts

Your bottle list, bottle photos, stocktakes and correction history are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded or synced. Deleting Bar Stocktake deletes them, unless you have saved a backup.

Voice counting

When you tap Speak the count, iOS asks for access to the microphone and to speech recognition. Bar Stocktake uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition, so your voice is turned into a count on your iPhone or iPad and is not sent to us or to Apple. Audio is not recorded or saved.

Camera and bottle photos

The camera is used only when you photograph a bottle label or scan a barcode. Photos are saved on your device and in backups you choose to make.

Barcode lookup

When you scan a barcode that isn’t in your list, Bar Stocktake can look it up in Open Food Facts, a free public product database, to fill in the product name, size and photo. Only the barcode number is sent. No personal information or account is involved. Open Food Facts’ own privacy policy applies to that request.

Backups and CSV exports

When you save a backup or share a count as a CSV, Bar Stocktake creates a file and hands it to iOS. It goes only where you choose to save or send it, for example Files, iCloud Drive, Mail, Messages or AirDrop. That service’s own privacy terms then apply.

In-app purchases

Bar Stocktake offers an optional Pro subscription. Apple processes all purchases through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Beta testing

If you test Bar Stocktake through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports, usage information and feedback you choose to send with us, according to Apple’s TestFlight terms. We use this only to fix and improve Bar Stocktake.

Children’s privacy

Bar Stocktake does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
